Watchmen: First Trailer Released

It's about time. Tick tock.

HBO has finally released something more significant than the micro-teases they've been posting on their Instagram account for the upcoming series. The trailer below brings us into the Watchmen world via foreboding, unsettling images of a gang of gun-toting Rorschach imitators and yellow-masked masked policeman. We see a leather-clad Regina King and Jeremy Irons as Ozymandias, but still no Tom (who is rumored to be playing Mime, from the Doomsday Clock series). The trailer pegs the premiere as being in the fall, but nothing more specific than that.

Sleepy Hollow: Season 4 First Look

The end of an extra long hiatus is almost here, with the premiere for Season 4 of Sleepy Hollow less than 48 hours away. Fox has shared the first look below via TVLine, with lots of interesting clues about what we have in store for the next 13 episodes. There are definitely spoilers, but there are also wonderful interviews with Tom, Lyndie and newcomer Jeremy Davies.

NYCC 2016: Wrap Up

Tom returned to the Javits Center in New York City last week to meet fans and talk about the coming season of Sleepy Hollow at New York Comic Con. He signed autographs on Saturday and Sunday, and took part in a photo op session each day, which turned out to be quite popular. On Sunday, he was joined by castmates Lyndie Greenwood, Jeremy Davies and Janina Gavankar as well as executive producer Raven Metzner and co-showrunners Albert Kim and Clifton Campbell in the press room, and for a panel on the Main Stage.

During the panel, the audience was shown a 5 minute sizzle reel of clips from upcoming episodes. Reaction from the crowd was very positive and vocal - from raucous applause when Crane first appears, to woots when the Headless Horseman galloped on screen, to outright screams of surprise and delight when Jeremy, aka John Noble, was unexpectedly revealed (for more on that shocking moment, read this write-up from the panel moderator, TVLine’s Kim Roots). The EP’s and actors were questioned by Roots about the controversial finale, and fans from the audience asked questions about the death of Joe Corbin and commented about the diversity of the show. We learned more about the genesis of Janina's character, Diana Thomas. Janina shared that she wanted the character to represent the multitudes of Christians from India, so had the character's last name changed to reflect that. New addition and big bad of the season Jeremy Davies described his character as being an evil Steve Jobs, mixed with Lex Luthor with a bit of Hannibal Lector thrown in. The EPs teased 5 things to watch for in Season 4:

  1. Crane signs a lease to his very first apartment -- too bad it's haunted.
  2. Crane finds himself in court facing murder charges. The question is, where and when is that court?
  3. A very special discovery will be made about the truth behind the Lincoln Memorial.
  4. Crane will post for the first time on social media.
  5. A shocking truth will be learned that will redefine the most iconic moment of the entire series

Prior to the panel, the cast and producers chatted with journalists in the press room. A couple of the resulting interviews have been posted, with hopefully more to come. See below for interviews with Tom and Lyndie from The Mary Sue and The Workprint:

Still no word of a premiere date, but Season 4 of Sleepy Hollow is slated to be back on Fridays at 9pm on FOX in early 2017.
