Watchmen: More from the Red Carpet

More interviews have popped up from the Los Angeles premiere of Watchmen.

At 1:05 in the post below, Tom is doing his best to answer questions while giving absolutely nothing away, lest the HBO suits descend upon him.

You can also see Tom at :52 in this video telling us that we may try to guess what's going on, but we are in for some surprises.

Watchmen: KTLA5 Interview

The morning after the Los Angeles premiere of Watchmen, Tom visited the KTLA studios for an interview, which you can watch below. He couldn't say much about his Watchmen character, Mr. Phillips, but we do get our first look at him. We learn that they block shot most of his scenes for the season with Jeremy Irons in a castle in Wales over the course of a month, before the bulk of most of the scripts were even written. Tom explains that he did have a history with Watchmen, even before the show. He read the original graphic novel as an angry 17 year old and it made him even angrier, then happened to pick it up again a couple of years ago, and reading it again at a different stage in his life gave him a different perspective on it. Six months after re-reading it that second time, Damon Lindelof called and asked him to "come be weird and British" in his new show.

Watchmen premieres this Sunday, October 20th at 9pm on HBO in the US. The show is also airing around the world, so check your local listings to find the show where you are.

Watchmen: Official Comic-Con Trailer

After months of anticipation, HBO has dropped a meaty trailer for us to obsess over until the premiere in October. Still no specific day for the start of the series, but at least we're narrowing it down!

Not much about Tom's character can really be gleaned - he is rumored to be Mime/Marcos Maez but that hasn't yet been officially confirmed. At 2:32, it seems to be him with the...er...running pigs, but he is dressed more like a butler (another rumor about his role). He could also be the masked guy in the wig at 2:23. Is he a butler with a masked alter ego? Is that actually Mime? The mystery continues.

Four Weddings and a Funeral: Trailer Released

Hulu will be premiering Four Weddings and a Funeral, the new series from Mindy Kaling, on July 31st. Today we got our first trailer for the series, and a quick glimpse of Tom in his guest-starring role. According to TVLine, the plot goes something like this:

"Based on the 1994 Hugh Grant rom-com of the same name, Four Weddings and a Funeral follows a group of American friends who reunite for a wedding in London. But after a bombshell at the altar throws their lives into turmoil, they must weather a tumultuous year of romance and heartbreak. In that time, according to the show’s official logline, “relationships are forged and broken, political scandals exposed, London social life lampooned [and] love affairs ignited and doused."

A new episode will be available each week for the 10 episode season.
